Your donation will power our efforts to protect Farabout Peninsula on Eagle Lake in the years to
come.

Our present priorities for funds raised will be to:

1. To identify and communicate important ecological values to promote community
conservation and ecotourism on and around Farabout Peninsula.

2. Promote public education to highlight the significance of the 2,000-year-old
archeological history related to the peninsula.

3. To highlight the importance of reconciliation in relation to Farabout Peninsula being
designated a “Healing Forest” by Eagle Lake First Nation.

4. To save Farabout Peninsula (the “Heart of Eagle Lake”) from clear cut logging.  

Our ultimate goal is to establish permanent protection of the peninsula and have Farabout
allotted the same protection by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources as are the
“Conservation Islands” on Eagle Lake. Presently only 4% of the Dryden Forest is designated as
parkland.
